Working Hard

Having a functional workspace that was also beautiful for virtual meetings was important to this homeowner, so Angela Ireland of AI Interiors designed just that, taking color cues from a framed map the homeowner wanted prominently displayed. Ireland designed a wall of both open and closed storage to display the personal items and keep the working parts of the office under wraps. Jute grass cloth wallpaper and a rug on top of carpet give the space warmth and texture, while the blue cabinetry and midcentury-style chandelier give it a crisp, modern vibe. Of being sure to prioritize capturing the client’s personality in the space, Ireland says: “When you walk into your office every single day, and it’s a place you absolutely love with artwork and pieces that you’ve collected through the years, that’s so meaningful.”
